The town of Péro Pinheiro, the Portuguese version of Carrara, is at 35 km from Lisbon and is the Country¹s centre for the processing and marketing of stone.

Global Stone Workshop® workshops are organised in co-operation with Centro Internacional de Escultura, ("C.I.E."), which makes available 10 very well set up work spaces. The work area is clean and tidy, with all workspaces sheltered by a sturdy roof and walls.

Moisés, C.I.E.'s founder, is a very good artist and sculptor, who is assisted by some ten artisans to produce his work. C.I.E. makes available to workshop participants its own crew at a very low cost. Limestone and marble in Péro Pinheiro are available in many colours and shades. C.I.E. has a well-stocked stone warehouse.
